Kwik Snax proudly presents another masterpiece from Spenza’s electronic laboratory.

The Silver EP contains 3 tracks showing exciting features and techniques. It’s a heterogeneous collection of his latest works previewing his upcoming album to be released in autumn 2009. This time he serves a well balanced mixture between listening pleasure and dance floor destruction.

Lately Spenza remixed Bomb the Bass – Megablast and got listed by Teenage Bad Girl at their Beatport Charts amongst others while several blogs featured his former releases.

He opens the box with Silver, a melodic and warm sounding catcher reminiscent of analogue synthesizers, drum machines and vintage computer games that made you stay awake until daylight.

Lazy Angels may surprise Spenza connoisseurs with highly addictive harmonics, charming choirs and laid back, stereophonic beat programming. This one serves a slightly different flavor and tastes like an appetizer for an LP that will spread a broad range of musical styles all connected by his unique production skills and sense for the unexpected.

Agorgoltok hides at the dark corner of the dance floor and once you come close you’ll get jammed root and branch.

This is spenza’s loudest and most savage release to date which rides unstoppable grooves into the ground.

The wig is a filthy beast of a track that sounds a bit like a blast of radio interference shouting and swearing in your face through a broken guitar amp, whilst tortured synths steal your money.  The resulting techno headshot is all held together with a taut, nay, funky and decimating beats n’ bass glue.

A pink grapefruit jumped out of ziggys head actually has a story, its about a vision that spenza had in his favourite discotheque.  He assures that he saw a pink grapefruit jumping out of ziggys head that night… (hmm..hmm well maybe that’s also what dangerous snax is about).

The final track, lazor beam starts with retro-kitsch-strings followed by low-fi voice-cuts, so much overpitched that the listener will be thankfull that the strings are back at the end of track and this e.p.

the first supersize menu will contain spenza’s “kylie and me” and “bitslapper”.

excessive strings, loud and filthy beats. overacting randy robot voice cuts let “kylie and me“ end up in bombastic electrorock with loads of melodrama… its just kylie and me…..

it seems that all synths in this track try to break out but the beat doesn’t let any of those chiptunes escape. bitslapper…. compressed to f**k.

spenza released his first tracks at gomma as “spenzer”. and got featured at the vakant “momentum” - compilation and on ghostly digital.
